Buffalo Toy Library Members will have access to hundreds of toys and can exchange them as often as they want! Additionally, while visiting the Toy Library, children will be able to play with any toy they see on the shelf.

Becoming a member of the Buffalo Toy Library allows for sustainable and accessible play opportunities for your family!

Each Membership tier allows for a different amount of toys to check out. Founding Members are able to check out 5 toys per family, Explorer Members are able to check out 3 toys per family, and Playmate Members are able to check out 2 toys per family.

Founding and Explorer Members are able to keep the toys for 4 weeks, and Playmate Members are able to keep the toys for 2 weeks! You can always renew your toy with the Toy Library for extra fun!

It is the responsibility of the borrower to clean the toy before returning it to the Toy Library for further cleaning.

The Buffalo Toy Library is a member of the USA Toy Library Association which puts out guidelines for cleaning. For more information about the guidelines, please click here.

If the toy is damaged beyond repair we will ask that you either buy a replacement of that toy or pay what it would cost for us to buy it.  If a part is damaged that is determined by a toy library to not affect it’s ability to go back on the shelf, no charge will be required.

This is a case by case scenario. For example, if you are missing one Duplo block, the set is still able to be played with. However, if you are missing a puzzle piece, this impacts future play with this toy. Please let us know if you lose a piece to the toy so we can determine how we will move forward. The Buffalo Toy Library also encourages you to continue looking for the piece and keep us updated about your progress!
